Lensmaster Vbright105 Interview

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What makes you passionate about Squidoo.com?

Vbright105: Squidoo makes me passionate about Squidoo! Everything from the forums and the people to the vast opportunities that Squidoo offers, and the fun of making lenses.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Is Squidoo perfect already or what could make it better?

Vbright105: Nothing is perfect. Squidoo comes pretty close, however! I think a lot of people, myself included, wonder just how accurate the numbers are, and if they are not important, why have them? It reminds me of the quote; "If winning doesn't matter, why do we keep score?" I don't obsess about it, because as long as I am moving forward, I'm good with it.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What inspires you to make a new lens?

Vbright105: Oh, so many things. I really do not have one "niche". I love writing about being a Grandparent, cooking and recipes, Native American Culture and many other things. If it is something I think anyone else can benefit from or enjoy, I make a lens about it.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: How many lenses do you have?

Vbright105: 80, hopefully I will have 100 by Dec. 31 [As of this post, V has 85 lenses. With so much on her plate: quite a few blogs, article-writing, building lenses for others... it's no wonder she fell a just little short this time on the Giant-100 goal. :)]

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What is your most popular lens?

Vbright105: Native American Arts and Culture, the Sioux Nation

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What one sentence or one word describes your success?

Vbright105: I would say probably having faith, determination and the desire to learn.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What should a newbie do first?

Vbright105: Write. Just start a lens. You can always come back to it and change it, fix it, whatever you wish, but the very first thing you should do is create a lens, then go to the forums and introduce yourself and your new lens.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Which of your lenses do you want to make sure the whole world knows about?

Vbright105: Although I am very proud of my most popular lens, I would have to say I would want them to know about my pre-lensography which I call my Table of Contents. It has most of my lenses and some insight into me as a person.

Lensmaster Stargazer00 Interview

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What makes you passionate about Squidoo.com?

Stargazer00: It's just plain fun! I love creating lenses and I love the Squidoo community. The people are great.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Is Squidoo perfect already or what could make it better

Stargazer00: I think it's pretty great. I don't have any suggestions for improvement at this time. I think HQ is responsive to our concerns and is always looking at how to make things better. I trust them to make good decisions on our behalf.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What inspires you to make a new lens?

Stargazer00: When something strikes my fancy or when I run across something I want to tell others about. I'm always thinking about what to write about or what kind of lens to make. I also like to keep my camera with me in case I see something appropriate for one of my lenses or a new idea presents itself.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: How many lenses do you have?

Stargazer00: 65 and counting.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What is your most popular lens?

Stargazer00: Right now "How to make an Edible Gourmet Bouquet Centerpiece" is my highest in lensrank. I think people are looking for Thanksgiving centerpiece ideas. My most consistently popular lens that usually gets the most traffic is "Navy Nukes and the Navy Nuclear Program." My son is a Navy Nuke and I wrote it for people looking for information on this program.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What one sentence or one word describes your success?

Stargazer00: Hard work and having a great mentor.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What should a newbie do first?

Stargazer00: Write about your passions. Some of the first lenses I created are my most popular, even though I did a lot of things wrong. I think that's because the subjects meant a lot to me. Just get started. You can always make improvements later.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Which of your lenses do you want to make sure the whole world knows about?

Stargazer00: My favorite lenses at the moment are:

Lensmaster Joubess Interview

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What makes you passionate about Squidoo.com?

Joubess: It is so easy to get some content up on a lens and publish it quickly.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Is Squidoo perfect already or what could make it better?

Joubess: First, add the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity as charities. You don't have much that would help survivors of disasters. I'd like it if the text/write modules allowed more than 10,000 characters. Some of my lenses are episode lists and blurbs about TV shows and I like to use one module per season.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What inspires you to make a new lens?

Joubess: Any time I think up a new idea for a niche website, I put it up on Squidoo, too. Sometimes I put up new lenses to expand on a single area of a broader topic, like Hurricane Gustav vs. Hurricane Katrina.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: How many lenses do you have?

Joubess: 34, all but 6-7 are published.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What is your most popular lens?

Invader Zim Episodes

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What one sentence or one word describes your success?

Joubess: Taking action, hard work and persistence.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What should a newbie do first?

Joubess: Just do it. Just put up a lens and publish it. You can add to it and refine it later. But get it made and published. Take action.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Which of your lenses do you want to make sure the whole world knows about?

Joubess: Hurricane Katrina and visit my Hurricane Katrina Pictures blog.
