We Are Squidoorati!
After having done some asking around the other day to see what those not affiliated with us think about Squidoo, I found that it seems to be that the pervading perception is STILL that Squidoo is for spammers! Well, knowing what great lenses Squidooers produce, that just didn't sit well with me. So, I submitted Squidoo to Alltop.com's founder, Guy Kawasaki. He has been communicating with me through the weekend, and I am now very proud to say that there is a whole new internet site out there right now that showcases the amazing lenses built at Squidoo: Squidoorati.alltop.com! Unexpected, is an Acknowledgment and a section for my Teach Children Character lens. For that, I am humbled and grateful. Thanks again, Guy! And a big, big thank you to Seth Godin for giving Squidoorati the green light!

Unwelcome News
In the past two days, my husband went from a doctor visit to emergency surgery. I write this from his hospital room. The doctor found a mass in his throat — a laryngeal seal, I believe it's called. Things are happening so fast that I am not caught up on the names and such. There's been a tracheotomy and a biopsy. His lung collapsed post surgery. His doctor told us last night that he wants us to go to Chapel Hill, NC to have the growth removed. The condition is very rare and Chapel Hill was recommended. Now, we are gearing up for the trip and the surgery. I do hope you will pardon me if I slack up a bit here. For the next few days or so, I will try to get at least the QOTD up. If it works out where I can do more I most definitely will. However, I must tell you that I am exhausted already — so we'll see. Take care now.
