Squidoo Lens Reviews: What makes you passionate about Squidoo.com?
Wbisbill: Squidoo lets me promote my web sites (www.knowingdiabetes.com and www.bestknow.info). I have had a life battle with diabetes and we are both trying to educate ourselves and others as to diabetes. Also, as a pastor, my wife and I like inspirational articles. Finally, we have a wide variety of interests. Squidoo is an excellent forum that goes beyond just blogging.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: Is Squidoo perfect already or what could make it better?
Wbisbill: Far from perfect, but it is very good and fun to mess around with. I don't like sharing Amazon and eBay and other non-google-ads commissions. I wish in this regard it were more like hubpages.com, in which I am also active. I do like the way new features are added on a regular basis, and I really like the page layouts Squidoo offers.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What inspires you to make a new lens?
Wbisbill: This is tough. A good lens takes some time and thought. For me I am attracted to things that I believe might help someone. I also just start playing with fun ideas and see what develops. Sometimes it flops, but often others want to read what I do!
Squidoo Lens Reviews: How many lenses do you have?
Wbisbill: I think about 99, but about 23 of them are ranked over 60000, which is unacceptable! I have never fully understood the Squidoo lens ranking system. The more you have the harder it is to keep them updated. I try to add 3-6 lenses a week. I should cross 100 today!
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What is your most popular lens?
Wbisbill: At present it is: Easy Blackberry Jelly and Other Delicious Blackberry and Jelly Desserts and Recipes: http://www.squidoo.com/easy-blaackberry-jelly
This is one of my mother's recipes she wanted me to share over Squidoo.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What one sentence or one word describes your success?
Wbisbill: Have fun with each lens – like a game!
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What should a newbie do first?
Wbisbill: Dig in and make a lens. I messed my first few up myself and had to redo them many times. There is no shortcut, but it is fun!
Squidoo Lens Reviews: Which of your lenses do you want to make sure the whole world knows about?
Wbisbill: The Warning Signs of Diabetes As a kidney transplant patient, I do not want anyone to have to go through what I have.
Wbisbill is a Lensmaster team: Walter and Barbara Isbill.
