Lensmaster OhMe Interview

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What makes you passionate about Squidoo.com?

OhMe: There are at least 3 things that make me passionate about Squidoo:
  1. The number one reason that I am passionate about Squidoo is that it has enabled my sister, Joan (Joan4 on Squidoo), and I to work together on something. We are on the phone or emailing all through the day and it has been great. I am very close to both my sisters but it is always especially nice to find things you can do together. Joan got me started with Squidoo when she did a lens on Pendleton. She knew if I ever tried it, I would be hooked and she was right.
  2. It has been great to be able to do my part in promoting our small town through Squidoo. I have 4 lens about Pendleton, SC and they are all seeing a good bit of traffic.
  3. I have to admit that I do enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes with a good lens. I don't work so I miss that feeling that comes when you know you have done something good and it is rewarded. Oh, how I do love those rewards like lensrank, stars, positive comments, etc.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: Is Squidoo perfect already or what could make it better?

OhMe: I think Squidoo is great and am too new at this to be making any suggestions for improvement. I just hope that they are able to keep up with the large number of Squidoo-ers.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What inspires you to make a new lens?
OhMe: Everything I hear, everything I see, and everything I do. My friends and family joke that I want to make a lens about everything. I guess I am truly addicted because that is the first thing that pops into my head when I experience something: Hey, that would make a good lens. I am sure there are lots of people who know exactly what I am talking about but not sure all would be willing to admit it.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: How many lenses do you have?
OhMe: I only have seven right now but hope to be at ten by the end of September.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What is your most popular lens?
OhMe: My most popular lens is Pendleton Photos. I have enjoyed all the positve, fun feedback on the Pendleton Old Photos lens. It has been to receive the comments on those pictures. People have contacted me that I haven't heard from in years.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What one sentence or one word describes your success?
OhMe: That would have to be "Thank you, Joan". Joan has been very patient with me and taught me so much. She really ought to have classes for newbies. Hey, I think I will do a lens about Joan.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: What should a newbie do first?
OhMe: Joan insisted from the beginning that I understand about "community" within squidoo and the importance of going to the forum and reading, learning, and posting. She taught me that I should try to read and rate at least 5 lenses a day and learn from them.
Squidoo Lens Reviews: Which of your lenses do you want to make sure the whole world knows about?

OhMe: I want the whole world to know how wonderful Pendleton, SC is so any of the 4 Pendleton lenses:
