Lensmaster Lakeerieartists Interview

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What makes you passionate about Squidoo.com?

Lakeerieartists: I love that I can write about what interests me and be part of a community while earning money. It is amazing that Squidoo is free to use and that by my contribution to the community, I am helping support it financially as well. When I earn money, so does Squidoo, which in turn supports me. Well planned. I also love that I can build it at my own pace, and create exponential growth through a labor of love. And in turn, support my other labor of love, Lake Erie Artists Gallery--promoting Cleveland, Ohio and its artists.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Is Squidoo perfect already or what could make it better?

Lakeerieartists: Nothing is ever perfect in life or in business, and Squidoo isn't either. But it is growing and developing, and the leaders and staff are very responsive to suggestions and imput. As long as that is true, then we can make it better together. Perfection is not the goal we should be striving for. We should work to make it productive, informative, and profitable for everyone.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What inspires you to make a new lens?

Lakeerieartists: I am inspired by a lot of things. I like to create lenses in groups on a topic, so usually one lens begets another. But I am also inspired by my life and daily occurrences as well by other lensmasters.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: How many lenses do you have?

142 and 15 more WIP [151 published as of this post]

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What is your most popular lens?

Lakeerieartists: My most popular lens right now is Confessions of a Giant Squid which I have to admit is also one of my own favorites. It tells about how I got started in Squidoo and the resources I used to become a Giant.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What one sentence or one word describes your success?

Lakeerieartists: By writing more and more lenses and listening to the more successful and experienced lensmasters around me, I am becoming successful and experienced myself.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What should a newbie do first?

Lakeerieartists: That is a great question but doesn't have one answer. It depends on how that person learns and how well they know the internet. But I would suggest writing a lens. Walk through the steps and put one together. Then try to see what you like and dislike about it. Ask questions and look for answers on SquidU and in other lenses. Then write more lenses. Because they can always be updated and revised, it is fine to make mistakes.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Which of your lenses do you want to make sure the whole world knows about?

Lakeerieartists: Ooooh, you ask great questions. This is a tough choice but I am going to choose one of my newer lenses The Brothers Grimm. This is the lead in to a series of fairytale lenses that I am working on.
