Lensmaster Joan4 Interview

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What makes you passionate about Squidoo.com?

Joan4: I am passionate about Squidoo for many reasons - first being that I can actually produce something on Squidoo and have it look nice without having technical knowledge. I also enjoy the general atmosphere of friendly, helpful people and meeting new friends.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Is Squidoo perfect already or what could make it better?

Joan4: I would only wish pictures were easier to post -- that all pictures were as easy as the Polaroid! lol

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What inspires you to make a new lens?

Joan4: I seem to have more ideas than minutes at the moment. I just got active at Squidoo in May of this year. Everything inspires me!

Squidoo Lens Reviews: How many lenses do you have?

Joan4: I have 32 lenses, and will have 50 before the end of September for application to Giant Squid status and 100 by Christmas 2008 - that is the goal!

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What is your most popular lens?

Joan4: Today my most popular lens is Congo Squares -- A Tate Family Tradition. This lens is based on a cookie recipe that has been used in my family for over 50 years.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What one sentence or one word describes your success?

Joan4: Persistence!

Squidoo Lens Reviews: What should a newbie do first?

Joan4: Make a lens! One of the joys of Squidoo is the ability to change most things, so that the first attempt does not need to be perfect. Just do it, and go back and clean it up as you learn. And study everything on the forum. And all the "teacher" lenses.

Squidoo Lens Reviews: Which of your lenses do you want to make sure the whole world knows about?

Joan4: Of course my lenses about the courage I have seen in my own family are the ones I want to share with the world. Facial tic or Hemifacial spasm? is about our daughter's victorious battle with hemifacial spasm -- and it took so long for us to find help for her. We all hope the lens will help people who are suffering to find the information they need to make good decisions about treatment. My lenses about my legally blind husband are also inspirational. The one that you featured: Legally Blind Golfer, and the side-kick to that one: Legally Blind and the Joke's on Me.
